The Steve Wilkinson Foundation

Steve Wilkinson It is our goal to help eliminate the financial burden suffered by musicians and their families in times of medical crisis.

Our Story

Steve Wilkinson was a phenomenal bass guitarist.   He was also a father, husband, brother, bandmate, and best friend to those of us who loved him most.  Steve was taken from us and the music community on August 6, 2007 after a long fight with liver disease.

As with so many musicians Steve did not have health or life insurance.  This was a devastating financial blow to his family.  Friends rallied and did their best to help.  It became clear that there is a definite need for assistance to help musicians and their families.  We, a group of local musicians and their families have made it our goal to ease the financial burdens associated with long term illness.
